Duets Open – QuayArts

Julien Masson and I were selected to be part of Quay Arts’s ‘Duets Open’ for collaborating artists, on the Isle of Wight.  We presented our Perspex sculpture ‘Transformer Redux’ – a small-scale version of a piece we originally created for the Digital Romantics exhibition in 2012.

‘Transformer Redux’ is made of slotting sheets of laser-cut Perspex, skinned with digitally printed vinyl.  It was generously funded by 10 Days/Creative Collisions in Winchester, who commissioned it to be part of the 10 Days exhibition earlier in the Fall.  Following that show, we submitted the artwork to Quay Arts where it was on display from December 7, 2013 to February 15, 2014.

The show was curated by Georgia Newman of Quay Arts, and Dan Crow of aspace.  Participating artists included:  Caroline Underwood and James Lord, Elizabeth Simson and Henrietta Simson, Holly Cade and Liz Sterry, Ian Kirkpatrick and Julien Masson, Ian Whitmore and Laura Hathaway, Jeff Pigott and Julia Warin, Joanne Hummel-Newell and Chris Jenkins, John Armstrong and Julian Winslow, Karen Ay and Paul Tucker, Melanie Swan and Martin Swan, Paul Windridge and Russell Richards, Rachael Berry and SCAB, Zoe Barker and Lyndy Moles.
